Friday 13th June
Nursery have been learning all about money and, crucially, that it does not grow on trees! Following on from our weekly shopping challenge and carpet sessions about saving money, not spending it all at once, and how adults go to work to earn it, the children had the idea to make their own money boxes. They spent a long time creating clay lids for jars, carefully moulding and painting them. The next challenge was finding some jobs. We let the rest of the School know that Nursery were looking for work, and the children have been very busy sorting pencils, testing felt tips, cleaning KS1 whiteboards, and helping Ms Georgia with the recycling. They have already earned a few pennies for their jars, and next week we have another list of jobs ready to help them earn some more!
