Spiritual Life
Saint Christina’s is a Catholic school in which prayer and worship hold a central role and children of all faiths and none feel valued and respected.
The Sisters are key members of our Community and continue to play an important role in the development of the School. These inventive, forward-thinking women are a constant source of inspiration.
Catholic children in Year 3 are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion and both these special occasions take place in the convent chapel adjoining the School.
Mass is celebrated every Friday, led by a different class each week, to which parents are warmly invited. Liturgies are regularly celebrated and highlight the main events in the Christian Calendar. All children enjoy participating in acts of worship through Assemblies, Whole School Masses, Monday Prayers, prayer before meals and at the beginning and end of the day.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Mass which is celebrated daily with the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Chapel next to the School from Monday to Friday at 8.00 a.m. and the Sunday morning service held at 10.00 a.m.
