 Eco Committee Update

This week, the children met with Mr Steve as part of the Eco Committee's Environmental Audit. They had the opportunity to quiz Mr Steve about the processes the school has in place to save energy. He showed them the controls used to monitor the temperature throughout the school.

We also discussed the school's recycling process and identified areas for improvement. The children learned about the LED lights in the school and how we plan to install a new WRAS-approved de-scaler, which will enhance the efficiency of the boilers and the hot water calorifier, resulting in energy savings.

As a result of our conversation about recycling, we are working with Holroyd Howe to explore ways to reduce delivery waste. It was a very productive meeting, and the children enjoyed seeing Mr Steve’s office!
