Year 4 visited the British Museum on Monday to learn more about Ancient Egypt. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed seeing the famous Rosetta Stone, an incredibly important artefact which was integral in deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphics. They also had an opportunity to see some coffins belonging to pharaohs and important people from Ancient Egyptian times. We also visited the very popular mummies exhibition. The children saw real life mummified remains and learnt about the artefacts that have been discovered by archaeologists over the years. It was a wonderful day out!
